Application Forms

The following documents are necessary for applying for the B.Th. Program. Some of them can be downloaded as PDF-files:

  • Application for Admission, signed, with photo
  • two recommendations, one by the local pastor or church elder, one by a person who knows the applicant well
  • a résumé
  • copies of certificates: final certificate of last school, Matura or Abitur certificate, certificate of completed vocational or professional training
  • written report of the legal guardian(s) on character and general development of the applicant (for students under 18 years)
  • declaration of consent of the applicant concerning the school and dorm rules (summarized in the Student Handbook)
  • medical certificate confirming the qualification for dorm life (only students staying in the dorm)
  • certificate of a health insurance valid in Austria
  • copy of a valid liability insurance
  • overview of financial ability (form)
  • Dormitory application form (for dorm students)
  • The Processing and Administrative fee has to be transferred at the same time as the submission of the application forms. The application is only valid with the deposit.

The application forms can be

  • downloaded, printed and sent by mail to the school (for address see below)
  • requested by sending a message via the contact form
  • requested by calling the number +43-(0)7722-63125-100
  • requested by a letter sent by mail to the following address:

Important:

  • The application is only valid with the transferred Processing and Administrative fee.
  • Moreover, the application is only valid when the original documents have reached us or when their arrival in our office has been confirmed. Applications via the internet only have the status of advance information that still needs to be confirmed.
  • Citizens of non-EEC countries (except Switzerland and Liechtenstein) need a valid student visa for their stay at Bogenhofen! If assistance is required, please contact the school administration

Documents for Visa Application

  1. Visa application form
  2. Original birth certificate, certified translation into German
  3. Police clearance certificate, certified translation into German
  4. Confirmation of enrollment from Bogenhofen Theology Department
  5. A health insurance covering all risks and valid in Austria
  6. Proof of sufficient financial means
  7. Confirmation of living quarters (e.g. confirmation of dorm place)
  8. Copy of passport
  9. One photo
  10. Health certificate in case of staying more than 6 months, according to regulations of the Federal Ministry for Social Security (BGBI. Nr. 481 of 12/17/02)

The completed visa application form is to be sent to the Austrian embassy of consulate of your country along with the other documents required.
