Terms of Admission
For the enrollment as a regular student in the B.Th. Program of the Department of Theology the following general prerequisites are necessary:
- minimum age of 18
- completed secondary education (Matura/ Abitur) or vocational training
- in case of no Matura/ Abitur, an entrance exam can be taken if the student has a completed vocational training and professional practice. This entrance exam is to be taken after application on the last Thursday before the beginning of the academic year. Part of the exam areas are a German essay on a general topic, German grammar and orthography, English, and World History. A list of literature on the tested topics can be downloaded as a PDF-File. - a conscious decision for Jesus Christ
- member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Baptism into the Church is preferred but not necessarily required. We are also open to students of other denominational backgrounds.
- recommendation of the local church (pastor or church elder) and of another person who knows the candidate well
- written declaration of consent to respect and live according to the principles of an Adventist lifestyle during the time spent at the College
- fluent oral and written German language skills
- consultation with the business manager concerning a finance plan for the cost of study
- for students whose mother tongue is not German a successfully completed German language test is required to be accepted into the B.Th. program. This test has to be equivalent to the B2 or C1 level of the Austrian Language Diploma or similar institutes.
